Self-Portrait :)

This is the assignment that I had to do for my photography class.

This is my sister, Collette.
Yes.
She is holding a giant Hershey's bar.
And yes again.
It is 5 lbs. of CHOCOLATE!!!
The only downfall of this candy bar and the reason it is till at the store is because of the $34.96 price tag :\
So tonight I get to start my new job. The only time the trainer works is in the middle of the night.
I have to work in 2 hours. I'm scared to go to sleep because... WHAT IF I DON'T WAKE UP?!?!?!
That would suck. a lot! So now I am sitting here. Listening to music. While I contemplate doing my math exam review... maybe that will wait for after work and now I'll go take a nap. Yep. That sounds good. Bye.

Movie Night + the rest of the day:)

It's Saturday... and guess how I spent my lovely afternoon? Yep, that is correct! Working and attending staff meeting... Fun, right? Not exactly! ha but I also did some fun things:
~ I went to Denny's and had my second breakfast of the day with some of the most entertaining people I know!
~ Me and my sister, Erin went to get popcorn at the theater, twenty minutes after I got off work. Then she wouldn't believe me that Enoch was actually accessible without the traveling on the freeway... we even took a field trip to the wonderful city of Enoch! Spectacular.
~ Mom, Collette, Erin and I watched our favorite movie: 'Despicable Me' :) That movie is hilarious! Best movie of all time and it doesn't matter how many times you've seen it... the funny parts are STILL super funny!! Even if it is the 297th time watching that movie... haha. Although mom and I were the only ones to actually watch the whole thing (the other two fell asleep, absolutely a pity) it was still a wonderful night.
~ The last thing I got to do today was make a little message that I could put with the treat my visiting teaching partner is making. The saying is from President Uchtdorf's talk from the Relief Society broadcast. It says, “Our journey toward perfection is long, but we can find wonder and delight in even the tiniest steps in that journey.”
~Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Isn't it so great!? I love this quote and I hope the sister in my ward does too!

Some funnies... and maybe not so funnies

So I have a few stories...

1. My mom said that for my Aunt Rhonda 60th birthday, someone is putting together a book of stuff for her. Right after mom said that, Erin looks at her and says, "Oh! How old is she?" 'Oh I don't know, 59?' hahaha it was so funny! I couldn't stop laughing for the longest time...

2. I went to history class today and we took a test. This weird guy came in to observe us as we took the test to make sure we weren't cheating. As people are starting to turn back in their tests, he makes these weird gestures and says some stupid things, like, "If you put it in the wrong pile, you will screw not only yourself but the whole class. Then you might get beat up." Stuff like that. The girl next to me mumbles under her breath, quiet enough that he can't hear her. BUT I did:) haha it was so funny. She called him a really mean name! Haha but that's okay because he was definitely acting like one. It didn't help me concentrate on my test any better.

3. I can't decide how to make my self-portrait. I want to have things I like but I also want to have me pulling a funny face. It's due next Wednesday and I can't think of anything! I also can't decide on one thing for my final photography pictures... Ah! So difficult!

Happier notes:)

I hate when I realize that I have homework due... at midnight... then it closes and says LATE, in giant red letters. Yep, not very fun. I have come to realize that it is totally better to not do bad on assignments then it is to just do the dumb work in the first place.

Anyway, on a happier note, I have just finished watching some episodes of Kidhistory and it is so freakin funny! I love those kids! I hope I can one day, have children as cute as they are! What a fun idea to film them telling stories then having the dads act out their stories... :) Whoever thought of that should be classified as 'Genius'!

I am totally loving my life! I know that sounds cliche and all but I do. It's so fun! My job is great, and so are the people I work with. It's nice to be excited to go to work and hang out with all your friends. Every Thursday I change the marquee at the theaters with the help of Chance and Deanna. Those two have become two of my very best friends. School is going... alright. I just wish I could sign up for classes next semester!! Dumb RAC number necessity... I am not going to get into any awesome classes or the classes I need! Oh well, I suppose. I can't do anything about that one:\ I might be getting another job:) Which is fabulous because I know that money may not buy happiness but it can sure get you close. Being poor doesn't get you anywhere near anything!! I'm also looking into another one on top of that so that equals two other jobs!! Woot!

The end.

Wish it was a snow day...

It has been snowing for the past two days... bummer? Totally!! As I sit here, in the hallway of the Centrum waiting for class, I am listening to Jack Johnson Radio from Pandora.com. Outside it is practically blizzard-ing and everyone seems to be enjoying it! Or so they make others perceive... ?

So in my math class, my teacher told us a super hilarious joke:
"A panda walks into a bar and sits down, orders food- a sandwich- and a drink. As soon as he is finished, he whips out a gun and shoots up the place. When he turned to leave, the bartender asks him, 'Dude! Why did you just do this?' The panda turns to him and says, 'I'm a panda! that's what I do. Look it up!' The bartender pulls out a dictionary, because all bartenders have them ever so handy behind their bar, and looks up panda bears; Panda Bear: a Chinese mammal. He eats shoots and leave."

Holy cow!! it was the funniest joke ever! All of us were laughing hysterically... it took up almost 10 minutes so class was soon over. It was great. :)

This is super yummy! My mom made it this afternoon and it wasn't hard at all. It took maybe 5 minutes to prepare. 2-3 hours later we had us an amazing dessert that was absolutely to die for!! Although we didn't use ice cream... we used cool whip and it was equally delicious!

Yeah! Time change rules!!

http://www.aupairint.com/images/stories/Au_Pair_in_Australia.pdf

I want to become an Au Pair SUPER bad!! Think about it! Exploring the wonderful country of Australia while I have a job... Oh that would be absolutely wonderful :) I can only imagine it now...
This is one of the things that totally interests me:) It will definitely be something to start saving immediately for!!!!

"I love everybody. Some I love to be around. Some I love to avoid and others I'd love to punch in the face"
"'You are what you eat.' That's strange, I don't think eaten any sexy beasts today..."
"I'm sarcastic. What's your superpower?"
"Follow your dreams. Except for the one where you fly, that never ends well."
"A fact of life: After Monday and Tuesday even the calender says W T F..."
"'Don't forget: you are what you eat.' 'I need to eat a skinny person.'"
"The only thing that keeps me going is how brilliant and amazing I am."
"Talking behind my back? that means my life is obviously more interesting than yours."
"All I want is peace, love, understanding and a chocolate bar bigger than my head!"

These are just snippets of the glorious things I do on a daily basis :)

This is for you...

Dear Liz,
Seeing that you are about the only one that ever reads my blog, I've decided to address this one to you. :) So before I head to work, I will quickly give the rundown of my day/life!
Today started out like any other day; I woke up to someone telling me to clean something (today just so happened to be my bedroom, maybe there really are bedroom bombs?). I scadattled out of bed and hurried to clean my room before getting ready for school. It's clean, even if it doesn't look it! Of course, I was late to history and I sat near the boy of my dreams:) He doesn't really talk much but whatever. I attempted doing math but that was an epic fail! I couldn't focus on the math part with history being talked about... That woman is a psycho! My friend texted and wants to "study" together, meaning he did bad on the last two exams and wants to study with someone who didn't. Oh well, it will be a nice change from my studying in the wee hours of the night and not very much. Hmmmm.... I escaped from history and went to the tutoring center. I worked on my math for over an hour and finished just enough to get SOME credit on the assignments... :P I'm pooped from math homework, maybe I shouldn't wait until the last hour before class to work on it... One o'clock rolled around and I decided to go to class. Dr. what's-her-name asked if anyone has had a birthday recently. I shyly raised my hand and she asked if I wanted to be sung to. I walked to the front of the classroom and she introduced me to the class. "This is Rebecca Barclay. Her birthday was on sunday and she is a math major. She is from Cedar City and works on her homework as well as at the movie theater, she will smile and wave but no one will get a discount. " Then they all started singing... Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear... *mumbling/laughter* yeah it's the truth. they had forgotten my name. Oh well, it was extremely awkward and I sat down. That is pretty much all... Now I'm heading to work. Bye!
